Prof. Dr. Abdul Aleem

Prof. Dr. M. I. Abdul Aleem is a seasoned academic and industry professional with over 38 years of combined experience in structural engineering. He currently serves as Professor and Head of the Civil Engineering Department at PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research, Coimbatore. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Anna University, with earlier degrees in Structural and Civil Engineering from Bharathiyar University.

His professional background includes over 17 years in the construction industry, having worked in various senior engineering and management roles in India and Brunei. Transitioning into academia, he has spent more than 20 years teaching and conducting research, focusing primarily on geopolymer concrete, sustainable construction materials, and structural innovation.

Prof. Aleem has published more than 25 research papers in reputed journals, including those indexed in SCOPUS and SCI. His work significantly contributes to the development of environmentally friendly materials and advanced construction technologies, combining practical industry knowledge with academic excellence.
